Selection and Design of a Jatropha curcas pinion oil extractor machine

At present it is of great importance to publicize different alternatives that can be used to lower the large pollution index to which we are exposed by the use of petroleum derivatives in the application of cutting fluids, therefore, as the design of a machine, which allows to obtain a cutting fluid from using pinion oil (Jatropha Curcas).

The objective was to select and design a pinion oil extraction machine. The methods applied for the elaboration of this article was the documentary - bibliographic review of several authors, and analytical. After the literature review, it was identified that there are a variety of single and double screw expeller machines. Among which the single screw expeller machine was selected, and it was designed to conclude that it is necessary to build the AISI 304 steel screw for its proper operation, so that it resists corrosion and fatigue product of the pressure exerted between the material the screw and the sleeve. The cylinders have to be made of AISI 4140 and 4340 steel; so that they are resistant to fatigue and fracture and for their operation a 6Hp gearmotor, the same that will produce a torque of 412 Nm, a speed variator ACS355-03E-17A6-2 and thermocouples type J 3/8 x 12 in. With this design there will be a production of 30Kg / h.

Design of a touristic product for travelers from the Autonomous Community of Galicia to Havana

The travel agencies, in the post-COVID-19 stage should orient its strategies to prioritize attention to those tourism-emitting markets, that show the greatest recovery and to the design of new products. Cuba is in this situation, as one of the countries that recovers most quickly from the crisis. In view of the fact that the Autonomous Community of Galicia is among those that emits the most travelers abroad and the existence of deep historical ties that unite it to Cuba, tourist products are required that, in post-COVID-19 conditions, will be suitable for this segment. The present investigation is oriented to the study of the level of development of tourist products linked to the Galician heritage in the city of Havana and, consequently, to propose the design of a tourist excursion for the target segment from the Autonomous Community of Galicia. For this purpose, theoretical and empirical methods were used, which allowed for a comprehensive analysis of the behavior of said segment. A methodological procedure was used for the design of tourism products applied in three phases that included techniques such as segmentation by benefits, the Delphi method, and economic and financial feasibility studies. The results of the investigation reflected that with the launch of the Habana Gallega excursion, the target segment identified in the post-COVID-19 conditions can be satisfied; likewise, it was demonstrated that the product is qualitatively and quantitatively viable.

Good practices in the management of the cruise services in the main Caribbean destinations. Actions for its improvement in the Havana destination

Within the growth achieved by cruise tourism, the Caribbean area stands out as the first world destination. Located in this context is the island of Cuba, whose development in cruise tourism has been conditioned by the measures taken over the years by the United States government. Havana, as the main port of the island for the reception of cruise ships, presents a deteriorated infrastructure; a scarce non-hotel offers; as well as lower figures in terms of cruise ship arrivals and expenses at the destination, in relation to leading Caribbean destinations. Therefore, this research has the objective of designing a set of actions to improve the management of the service to cruise ships in the destination. For this, a methodology was used that allowed the identification of good practices in Caribbean destinations, leaders in the activity, where theoretical and empirical methods such as bibliographic analysis, interview with specialists in the sector and expert judgment were used. In this way, the results obtained allowed to know the current performance gap between Havana and leading destinations in the Caribbean, as well as the identification of the good practices that they carry out in managing cruise service. Lastly, 22 actions were designed that contemplate the implementation of these good practices in the management of cruise service in Havana.

Communicational interaction processes of children whose mother is imprisoned in the Women's jail of Quito

The problem related to childhood and prison is a subject hardly analyzed from the  communication field, so the objective of this article is to expose the processes of communicational interaction that occur between mothers and children that remain inside the Female Rehabilitation Social Center (RSC) of Quito, Ecuador. The methodological strategy was based on a non-experimental design, of a transversal nature, through a qualitative approach through the technique of in-depth interviews and non-participant observation; the instruments used were the questionnaire, field diary and observation sheets. The research team approached mothers and their sons and daughters, who voluntarily decided to participate in the study. The main findings it is evident that the communicational interaction between mothers and their children is marked by a close relationship and with an adequate time for mothers to be aware of their children; however, the dynamics and prison environment generate complex situations of handling for both. It is concluded that the creation of accompaniment spaces for mothers and their children is fundamental, so that the interaction between the actors of the RSC, and mainly, between mothers and children, can be a favorable element for harmonic relationships based on dialogue and empathy.

TIC tools in online teaching of complementary competences of networks and telecommunications in the Superior Institutes of Tungurahua

This research project is essentially a brief analysis of the use and advantages of Information and Communication Technologies - ICT in the Higher Technological Institutes of Ambato, Tungurahua province, therefore the article is focused on studying the case of the Technology Career Superior in Networks and Telecommunications of the Higher Technological Institute "Luis A. Martínez"; for this, a preliminary diagnosis of the competences that students have in ICT was planned and executed, then the most versatile, simple and efficient computer tools that can be used strategically in the teaching and learning of complementary competencies of the career are highlighted. It was worked fundamentally under a mixed approach, and a consequent empirical and mixed methodology, same that at the beginning was clearly documentary and at the end a quasi-experimental phase was applied with a significant and representative sample of 108 randomly chosen students, with this it was possible to compare the effects and acceptance of ICT tools in basic subjects and specialty subjects through questionnaires applied to active students in the period 2019-II, that is, from November 2019 to April 2020, and finally with the information collected, a summary is prepared that suggests some websites and simulators available to all members of the institute's educational community.
