The historical value of the Malqui-Machay farms and its impact on the contribution of the Cultural Identity of the Canton La Maná

Introduction. The Malqui-Machay farms located in the parish of Guasaganda, La Maná Canton, have archaeological remains that are known as the last dwelling place of the Inca Atahualpa due to the historical events that have been of importance for Ecuadorian history since it would have been the refuge of the last Incas. These events are a contribution to the cultural identity of the sector thanks to the history it has. However, it has weaknesses in the conservation of archeology and with it the cultural identity of the Lamanense population, this has been a consequence of the devaluation of the infrastructure and by weather conditions. Objective. Preserve the historical value of the Malqui-Machay estates and their impact on the cultural identity of the La Maná Canton. Methodology. For this research, we worked with a sample of 69 people where the opinion of professionals, owners of the haciendas and the population of the Guasaganda parish was taken, this information was collected through field trips using the interview techniques (5) and survey (64), which were formulated with closed structured questions; The main purpose was to gather information to know the criteria and knowledge of the inhabitants about the historical milestones that happened in the Malqui-Machay estates. Results. According to the study of cultural identity carried out in the Malqui-Machay haciendas, important results are framed, since these sites strengthen the customs and traditions of the population thanks to the events of each hacienda and the legends existing in the surrounding area. With these positive data, we proceed to design an informative cultural heritage guide which contains three sections: informative, legends and conservation. With the fundamental purpose of rescuing part of the cultural identity of the inhabitants of Canton La Maná. Conclusion. Within the Malqui-Machay farms there is a great potential for cultural tourism which contributes to the cultural identity of the inhabitants of the Guasaganda Canton La Maná parish since there is an archeology that was developed thanks to the events and historical memory that have been evident in that place and the legends that have prevailed over time and are an icon for the sector.

Proposal to rescue the music and dance of the Canton La Maná-Province of Cotopaxi

Introduction: The proposal for the rescue of music and dance has important aspects since it enriches the knowledge of the population and mainly some genres considered representative also need to remember the different dances that were practiced at the time of their celebrations since dance is a valuable element in the process of training the human being, destined to get people confident, with possibilities to act in the world and responsible in their relationship with others. Objective. Rescue music and dance, so it is necessary to transmit the knowledge of the cultural identity that existed in the canton of La Maná. Methodology. In the following research the objective of achieving optimal results, the use of the following methods was chosen: quantitative method in which it is based on the obtaining of data or quantities and qualitative method that serves to obtain information or interpretative descriptions, therefore, work was worked with primary and secondary information. Results. 100% of the surveys applied to the 73 respondents represent that they do not know about any music or dance representative of the canton La Maná so it tells us that the rescue is important to be able to spread it and be known. Conclusion. Through the practice of music and dance part of our ancestors is rescued, in addition you can maintain interaction with the inhabitants and that young people can entertain themselves in something productive for them.

Internal model for educational quality assurance with a MVAP approach within the framework of the productive units of Higher Education Institutions (HEI) in Ecuador

Introduction: Due to the health emergency that the world is going through, the Ecuadorian government took several strategies to be able to face it, within which; the institutions of higher education (IES) were affected with the budget reduction, with which it is necessary that the IES establish productive units as sources of complementary income, at the same time that they contribute to the development of linkage and investigation. Objective: To present an internal model for ensuring educational quality with a MVPA approach within the framework of the productive units of Higher Education Institutions (HEI) in Ecuador. This model combines the theory of Productivity Measurement by the Added Value method with the quality model of the Council for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (CQAHE), in order to implement it in the productive units of the IES of Ecuador, to know the levels of productivity and educational quality. Methodology: A series of guidelines are established for the collection of information based on theoretical evidence up to its interpretation - analysis, in order to correlate the variables and determine influence through the comparison of information. Results: With the purpose of validating results and knowing the levels of productivity, the effects in the areas of productivity in the productive units must be analyzed and interpreted to have administrative and financial efficiency in the IES of Ecuador. Conclusions: The model presented for the productive units of the HEI in Ecuador through the application of indicators is considered a management tool that helps increase the levels of productivity, identifying how the variables that compose it interact and determining or establishing levels of productivity and quality in education.

Wave propagation at an interface

Introduction. A wave is the transmission of energy without displacement of matter. It is a disturbance or agitation that moves in a certain environment and that, after passing, leaves it in its initial state. This mechanism covers a wide range of situations: From waves on the surface of a liquid to light, which is itself a type of wave. For thousands of years, waves have been the object of study. It all started when Pythagoras discovered that acoustic research was related to the theory of waves, since the strings of musical instruments generated sounds. Later, Galileo Galilei was able to relate the connection between vibratory bodies and different sounds, for which he used a pendulum, thus reaching the basic principles of MAS. Many other scientists continued their analysis, an example was Robert, who tested the theory that it is not possible for sound to travel in a vacuum, confirming that this type of wave travels in media such as air; Jean Le Rond d ’Alembert also contributed his grain of sand, deriving the equation of the wave. From now on future generations are dedicated to the study of this phenomenon. Christian Huygens, in the 18th century, made a wave theory of the nature of light, deducing, some time later, that every luminous object generates a disturbance in the ether. This last experiment formed the basis for the current definition of electromagnetic wave as the form of propagation of electromagnetic radiation through space. Objective. Analyze the transmission and reflection processes of traveling waves at an interface between elastic propagation media with different densities, emphasizing the phenomenon of phase inversion by reflection and the conditions for it to occur. Methodology. For this, it was necessary to emphasize different concepts, such as wave, mechanical wave, traveling wave, wave motion, reflection of a traveling wave, among others. Results. All waves, regardless of their class or propagation medium, have common properties that are clearly manifested in space, passing from one medium to another with different characteristics, the same ones that will be of vital importance for the changes in speed and direction that it undergoes. the wave disturbance at the interface, so that according to the characteristics of the medium a change in some of its properties will result in the wave motion changing irremediable. Conclusions. The waves were classified according to various criteria, as well as the main elements that describe it. It was shown that when a wave changes from one medium to another, it is reflected and depending on the boundary conditions that limit it, this reflection will be inverted or not. The law of reflection for plane waves and diffraction in circular waves was also studied. Consequently, the superposition principle was explained, which addresses the resulting wave function obtained through the sum of two completely individual waves that overlap.

Current distribution range of the Andean Toucan Andigena laminirostris (Ramphastidae) and threats and expectations for its conservation in Ecuador

Introduction. The Andean toucan Andigena laminirostris (Ramphastidae) is an important component of the avifaunal biodiversity of western Ecuador and Colombia. Most of their populations are threatened directly or indirectly by the development of productive human activities that generally harm their habitats. Objective. This document addresses different technical aspects that should be considered to achieve a better conservation of the Andean toucan Andigena laminirostris in the habitats in which it occurs, mainly in Ecuador. Methodology. It was based on a critical systematic review of several sources of updated information that detail the situation of this bird in Ecuador and Colombia, as well as the problems faced by its wild populations. Results. As a starting point, the areas in which this bird has been sighted regularly in recent years are presented and the threats of anthropic origin that usually cause population declines of this toucan are analyzed; The advantages of caring for this species in the regions where it lives and ways of maximizing strategies to do so are also discussed. Conclusion. If this Andean toucan and its habitats are not conserved or cared for, we would lose an emblematic species that plays several ecological roles in western Ecuador. To facilitate their knowledge and conservation (as well as their ecosystems) it is proposed to consider the umbrella species approach.

Early multisensory stimulation from Montessori Methodology: Reflections for its application in conditions of social distancing.

Introduction: Among the most important priorities is early childhood care. With the arrival of COVIC 19, this has been greatly affected, causing the need to rethink it in different ways. In the educational context, due to social distancing, it has caused having to migrate from the face-to-face mode to the online one. Objective: To reflect on the feasibility of the Montessori Methodology, for the multisensory stimulation of children with or without special educational needs, in conditions of social distancing. Methodology: The study followed a descriptive, non-experimental methodology, through the use of theoretical and empirical methods and the RSL (Systematic Review of Literature), allowed to consult 46 sources obtaining as Results: The identification of 13 potential studies that contributed to systematize the foundations theoretical on the feasibility of the Montessori Methodology, facilitating the realization of 4 essential theories: 1. Diagnosis relationship with the Intervention process at an early age. 2. The multisensory stimulation base of the infantile development. 3. Teaching materials and resources favor significant learning and the integral development of the child. Early multisensory stimulation of children with special educational needs associated or not with disability in conditions of social distancing is a permanent challenge. Conclusions: The systematization of the preceding theories around the Montessori Methodology highlights its feasibility, relevance and applicability for early multisensory stimulation in children with or without special educational needs, however limitations are evident due to the few studies carried out in relation to its applicability in conditions of social isolation, to this is added the need for training and preparation of teaching staff and the family context for its optimization, as well as the migration of face-to-face pedagogical models to virtual pedagogical models

Application of Thermal Integral as a tool for bioclimatic control and environmental modeling in the cultivation of prickly pear (Opuntia Ficus-indica)

Introduction. In this work, the values ​​of the daily accumulated grades of the experimental plot of prickly pear (Opuntia ficus-indica), installed in the Tunshi Experimental Center of the Higher Polytechnic School of Chimborazo (ESPOCH), are evaluated to improve prickly pear crops located in the Chingazo community of the Guano parish of the Guano Canton, Chimborazo Province, Ecuador. Objective. With the meteorological data acquired from the MERRA2 / GEOS 5.12.4 satellite, the phenological process of the experimental plot was carried out, calculating GDD, GDA and a projection of the Accumulated Degrees of Maturity (GMA). Methodology. To obtain the thermal summation, the mathematical model of the thermal integral was used, which allowed calculating the daily degree-days using satellite meteorological data; From which the daily maximum and minimum temperature data was used as input. Results. Approximate and referential data were obtained in the plot of the Tunshi experimental center of ESPOCH, with the indices of: GDD = 9.1º C; GDA = 271º C in a month; GDA = 1,856.5º C in six months; GDA = 3,744.4º C in one year and GMA = 9,357.3º C accumulated since July 26, 2018, when the experimental plot was replanted until December 31, 2020. Conclusion. The index of degrees accumulated both daily, monthly, semester and annually, show that the sector of the community of Chingazo is highly suitable since the prickly pear grows in minimum temperatures of -16 ° C to 32 ° C in hot places.

Introduction: The infrastructure of communications networks have evolved to become the support of companies, currently there is an increase in companies of companies that take greater importance on technology, currently there is an increase in companies of companies that take greater importance on technology, as well as telecommunications are a fundamental part of the growth of companies worldwide and economic development. For this reason, there are great efforts for research into new communications network hardware and software technologies. Objective: the objective of the research is to answer the questions: What are the perspectives of research in SDN? What are the prospects for SDN applications. Method: A 3-stage process is planned: Theoretical analysis: detailed information gathering, to conceptualize SDN, application perspectives and research in SDN. Analysis of research perspectives in SDN. And it established the prospects for SDN applications. Result: Several perspectives on SDN research lines are presented, the most important of which are the quality of service, the management and automation of the network, the virtualization of the network and the means of simulation of the SDN networks. And within the perspectives of SDN applications, cybersecurity applications, self-aware networks to improve service quality and energy efficiency, intelligent routing mechanisms and home networks stand out. Conclusions One of the main lines of research presented in SDN is network security, there is also SDN applied to cybersecurity. SDN becomes a very large niche to carry out research and thus find a way to improve it and apply it in a greater number of realities typical of communications networks.

Tourism Observatory Project for the Amazonian State University

One of the great difficulties faced by the tourism sector is access to reliable and truthful information that offers different users, public and private, relevant statistical data on the structure and behavior of this activity that generates income and foreign exchange for Ecuador. From this perspective, tourism in the province of Pastaza and the Amazon Region requires the availability of quality qualitative and quantitative information that guarantees a level of truthfulness, timeliness and relevance, therefore the project set the objective of generating periodic, constant information , updated and relevant of the tourist dynamics that contributes to decision-making processes to the actors involved in the academic, socio-economic and political fields, the methodology applied a mixed approach based on the inductive method since it is necessary to collect information from bibliographic sources , theoretical documents, files, among other inputs and under a deductive rationalist episteme, because the indicators obtained in the field were analyzed. The results showed a matrix of 10 supply and demand indicators, as well as the periodicity of gathering the information. Additionally, the need to link the project to the network of Observatories of the World Tourism Organization was confirmed, so that the Amazonian State University, is positioned and recognized internationally.
