Activities for elder people and promotion of active aging

This work belongs to a project with the title Health and Life, integrated for the professors of Physical Education from the Faculty of Medical Sciences Dr. Eusebio Hernández Pérez and 10 students of the medical sciences from the same place. It contributes to the prevention of demential diseases like Alzheimer, in elder people incorporated to the grandparents´ house Armenio Ferra Pieselli in the community, from Colón municipality. It counts with activities that help them to establish equilibrium adapted during their execution. Among them, they represent communicative dynamicand traditional board games, observing movies, videos, listening to music, listening stories and talks. All oriented to the prevention ofdiseases like the Alzheimer in adults. The lofty incidence of the same one in world is enunciated. It is proven that these activities contribute to enlarge the cognoscitive or cerebral reserve that decreases formation of the senile plates that not only contribute to decrease the risks of suffering the disease, but it is an important point against the stress and the depression. Finally, it stands out that there are means valid for all ages through the practice of the different activities with elder people as an aspiration that the long-lived ones know their strengths and weaknesses. Today is a challenge to motivate the grandparents that these are activities used as means of morerecreation, an anti-elect stress, antidepressant and preventive to potentiate an active aging.

Hypertension: Comparison of predisposing factors in adults (case Milagro canton)

Hypertension is one of the main public health problems, it affects approximately 972 million people in the world. The present investigation establishes a comparison in the incidence of predisposing factors in the development of hypertension, in adults of the city of Milagro, through a cross-sectional research of a non-experimental type, which was taken as a population The sectors: Las Piñas and San Miguel 2, obtaining a sample of 70 individuals of both sexes with an age of 45 to 65 years, a survey was applied as a research instrument, where it could be highlighted as the main risk factors in the development of the HTA, family history with 34% and 43%, age with 60% and 57% respectively, another aspect is that in Las Piñas HTA is present in men with 57% and in women with 43%, and in San Miguel 2 51% in women and 49% in men, unhealthy lifestyles are present in both sectors as predisposing factors. It is concluded that the predisposing factors with greater incidence in the development of AHT in Adults aged 45 to 65 were family genetics in Las Piñas with 40% parents and San Miguel 2 with 20% maternal grandparents and age with 54% and 69% respectively, with lifestyle being a high factor impact since it mostly affects both citadels.

Eating behaviors in nursing professionals in public hospitals (case of León Becerra Milagro)

Gastritis is an acute or chronic inflammatory disease of the gastric mucosa produced by exogenous and endogenous factors that produces marked symptoms of the gastrointestinal tract, its diagnosis is given through the patient's clinic in conjunction with an endoscopy and histological confirmation, it is considered that 50% of the world population is infected with the bacterium Helicobacter pylori, the main etiology of this disease, so we set as objective to determine the incidence of predisposing factors in the development of chronic gastritis in the nursing staff of the Leon Becerra Hospital of the City of Milagro, through a non-experimental study with cross-sectional direction, in addition to a descriptive approach, the population was 150 Nursing professionals, of whom 106 were randomly selected, the techniques and instruments for data collection were Surveys aimed at Nursing professionals and the literature review of scientific journals, updated books, internet among others, as results were obtained that 72% of the nurses have presented some gastrointestinal pathology, 9% said that they do not have a fixed feeding schedule, the average number of meals 68% were 2-3 meals, the consumption of alcoholic beverages is 76% and also 72% said that their general health is bad, so it is concluded that the predisposing factors with a greater incidence in the development of the Chronic gastritis are unbalanced diets, not having an adequate feeding schedule and alcohol intake and decreased physical activity in nursing professionals

Trans fat consumption and its impact on malnutrition in University Students of the Higher Education System (Canton Milagro)

The objective of this research was to identify feeding patterns related to the consumption of trans fats, and how it affects the appearance of health problems such as malnutrition, affecting the academic performance of students of the Higher Education System of Canton Milagro. Therefore, it allows us to know the level of knowledge and awareness on the part of this vulnerable population, and as a result, implement preventive measures to avoid possible diseases and health problems, such as malnutrition. All the data collected and the research conducted have shown that there is a large number of university students whose lifestyle is the high consumption of foods rich in trans fats, the same ones that already suffer from nutritional problems, which is why they are affected academically. For this research a population of 11,042 university students was taken, with a sample of 372; the same one that had a mixed approach of an exploratory nature. In order to obtain all this information, a bibliographic review and the application of a survey with questions related to the subject to be investigated were carried out; which yielded compromising results and at the same time expected.
