Cardiac rehabilitation program for older adults with hypertension
Main Article Content
Abstract
Blood is pumped under pressure, which is referred to as blood pressure. It is considered normal when its value is 120/80 mmHg; however, when these values are higher, it is considered that a person has high blood pressure, which is a serious medical disorder that potentially increases the risk of developing cardiovascular, cerebral, and renal diseases. The aim is to determine the effects of a cardiac rehabilitation program in older adults with hypertension by gathering scientific literature information published in different databases to provide updated information. It is demonstrated that cardiac rehabilitation improves high-density lipoprotein levels, reduces risk factors such as cholesterol, triglycerides, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, body mass index, and waist circumference
