Primary testicular lymphoma, diffuse subtype of large b cells, about a case

Introduction: Testicular cancer is the most common malignancy in men from 15 to 45 years, it represents 1% of male tumors and 5% of urological malignancies, its incidence has doubled in the last 40 years; effective management and prognosis are excellent with >90% healing rate and >95% survival rate at 5 years. Objective: to explain the clinical- epidemiological characteristics of diffuse testicular lymphoma of large B cells. Methodology: we made a review of the bibliography on the subject and presented the results. Results and discussion: Lymphomas areup to34.7% of paratesticular stromal tumors and may be primarys (LTP) or secondarys. Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (LDCGB) is the most common type of testicular lymphoma. Most patients have a one-sided testicular mass andup to90% have stage I or II disease at the time of diagnosis. In 35% of patients, bilateral testicular involvement is detected and in more advanced stages there is paraaortic lymph node involvement; ascites and abdominal pain are evident. The surgical treatment combined with R-CHOP21, IT-MTX and RT testicular has been associated with a good result. We made a case presentation of a patient diagnosed with diffuse testicular lymphoma of large B cells. Conclusions: testicular lymphoma can be primary or secondary and its management is based on orchiectomy and chemotherapy.

Intervention on Covid19 in patients with lung cancer and their relatives

Introduction: COVID 19 is a pandemic disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, with several groups vulnerable to complications of infection such as patients with lung cancer, associated with immunosuppression due to the oncospecific treatment imposed. Objective: to determine the effectiveness of an educational intervention on Covid-19 in patients with lung cancer and their families. Methodology: A quasi-experimental, before-after study was carried out through an educational intervention during the period from the first of September 2020 to October 31 of that same year, through an applied survey. The intervention was designed in three stages: diagnostic, intervention itself and evaluative. Results: A significant increase in the level of adequate knowledge was observed after the educational intervention on generalities of Covid-19 (84.8%), signs and symptoms of disease (95.7%), complications (82.6%), prevention measures (100%) and susceptibility to Covid-19 (93.5%). Discussion: the educational intervention allows to increase the perception of the risk in those who receive it, guaranteeing a better act in them. Conclusions: the educational intervention increased knowledge about Covid-19 and its effectiveness was demonstrated.
