Abstract

Introduction. The Maitland technique has presented positive results compared to conventional physiotherapy, which is why it has been considered of great importance to collect scientific information and highlight the benefits of the Maitland technique in patients with adhesive capsulitis, through results obtained from studies carried out that demonstrate its effectiveness within the treatment protocols in order to provide information on the technique and be applied mainly by physiotherapists as part of the therapeutic treatment. Objective: This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the Maitland technique in patients with adhesive capsulitis. Methodology: Descriptive bibliographic design. Results. The Maitland technique is effective in reducing pain and improving joint range when applied in multimodal treatments. Conclusion. The information found about the technique reports that it is effective in treatment protocols, relieves pain and improves mobility affected by adhesive capsulitis.
