"The Incubators of Ideas: First Step to the Entrepreneurial University"

Abstract
Today, Universities have gone from being purely teaching and research institutions, to entrepreneurial institutions aimed at solving problems affecting society, as part of their commitment to the latter. Our university is no stranger to this policy. However, our scientists need an economic culture that helps them insert their research into the market, to avoid risking their ideas being "stolen" by opportunistic agents. In this context the INCUBA project arises. UHHU as an incubator of ideas, in collaboration with Humboldt University in Berlin, with the aim of fostering innovation and creating value in order to develop new businesses and strengthen links with companies. Our faculty has participated in several of the incubation rounds that have been developed and on all occasions the teams have been very helpful as they have managed to create what is known as their business plan. Despite this, INCUBA is still little known - and therefore little exploited - among students and teachers, so it is intended to show how the incubation of a simple idea can lead us to a final product of high added value, provided that we have the advisor to proper.
