Objective: Characterize patients with alveolar atrophy in the oral implantology treatment of the posterior maxilla after elevation of the floor of the maxillary sinus. Methodology: An observational, descriptive and cross-sectional investigation was carried out in the Maxillofacial Surgery service, Hospital “Faustino Pérez” in Matanzas, between October 2017-September 2019. The universe was made up of all the patients with posterior alveolar atrophy; a sample of 38 patients was taken.
