Abstract

Introduction: child begging is a social problem that grows day by day and this is due to the current socioeconomic and political situation of Ecuador. This problem is one of the main challenges for the Ministry of Social Economic Inclusion. Objective: this study aims to analyze the influence of the family environment on child begging in Huaquillas city. Methodology: the research is descriptive, exploratory, and correlational, with a quantitative methodological approach. Results: the study revealed that the factors of cohesion and expressiveness significantly influence the social development of families; however, the dimension of conflict influences an increase towards vulnerability and begging in children in Huaquillas city. Conclusions: therefore, the study contributes to the scientific and academic community as a contribution towards the development of recent studies in social matters and to the profession so that from the results they develop programs and plans that allow mitigating the growth of the child population in a situation of begging.
