Gender-based violence or violence against women in the system penal

Abstract

Introduction: The topic chosen to investigate this is gender violence also known as violence against women in the penal system. Objective: its main objective will be to analyze how the Penal System has evolved and changed to accommodate, thus seeking to condemn and in the same way exterminate violence against women, since it has been evidenced that over the years that women have been victims of many attacks, the vast majority occur in the intimate framework of their home, and they are caused by their spouses, which is why this research is developed. Methodology: It will be examined through a qualitative study, which will achieve a thorough analysis and study of the sanctions applied within our Ecuadorian criminal system. Results: Starting from physical, psychological, sexual violence and the crime of femicide. This study will be made available to the entire population, especially women, to provide strategic support in the planning, monitoring and evaluation of public policies to eradicate violence. Conclusion:  It is evident that violence against women has been recognized worldwide over time, achieving equality for women.
