Abstract

Indigenous justice systems are not recognized or do not have a solid legal basis, this can lead to the marginalization of these systems and their exclusion from legal and political decision-making processes, resource inequality: Indigenous justice systems often faces resource constraints, including a lack of funding and a lack of trained staff, this makes it difficult to operate effectively and can put Indigenous communities at a disadvantage compared to more resourced state legal systems.
