Sinopsis

Escribir sobre el cerebro, el cuerpo y el movimiento en el contexto de la educación superior es, ante todo, un acto de honestidad intelectual. Durante mucho tiempo, la formación universitaria se construyó sobre supuestos pedagógicos heredados, transmitidos de generación en generación sin que mediara una revisión rigurosa de su fundamento científico. Este libro nace precisamente de la inconformidad frente a esa herencia acrítica y de la convicción de que enseñar en la universidad del siglo XXI exige comprender, con la mayor profundidad posible, cómo aprende realmente el cerebro humano.

La obra que el lector tiene en sus manos surge de un ejercicio sostenido de investigación y reflexión docente, desarrollado desde la experiencia cotidiana en las aulas universitarias y desde el compromiso con la innovación educativa fundamentada en evidencia. Sus autores, Fabián Andrés Contreras Jáuregui y Yamile Aslhoy Ramírez Serna, han recorrido un camino que combina la práctica pedagógica con la revisión sistemática de la literatura neurocientífica contemporánea, un ejercicio que no resulta sencillo en un campo tan proclive a la simplificación y a la proliferación de neuromitos. El resultado es un texto que, sin renunciar al rigor académico, logra un lenguaje accesible para quienes se inician en el estudio de la neurodidáctica y para quienes ya cuentan con una trayectoria en las ciencias de la educación.
